The “any Template Suite content” type of Rerepat will allow you to build logical dependencies between content inserted directly into a Template and content in a Clause from the Clause Library. However, it is not limited to the Clause Library use case. It can be used to refer to any Element or Clause in your Template Suite.

This new type requires a user to insert the System Name as well as the value manually.

Template authors may set Repeats directly based on the JSON Object (values of the received JSON file).

Only JSON Objects with the activated “Use in Template Editor” checkbox can be referred to in Repeats.

Occasionally, depending on the end user’s need, it is necessary to have certain portions of a document repeated. The Repeat functionality allows you to do this by applying repeat logic to Text Inputs.

In order to apply a Repeat condition to content (in this instance, a Clause) take the following steps:

  1. Assign a System Name to the Text Input that will control the Repeat
  2. Focus on the Clause or Element that will repeat and click the Edit button.
  3. In the top menu, click on the Repeat tab.
  4. Click the “Create Repeat” button, choose Repeat from the recently created ones, or use our Suggestions.
  5. If you choose to click on Create Repeat, select the Repeat Type, (according to number in a Text Input)
  6. Choose the Template Name
  7. Choose the System Name of the Text Input that will control this Repeat

Now, depending on what number is entered in the selected Text Input, that number of Repeats will occur.
Note that it is possible to create a repeating Clause within another repeating Clause, but only once. It is not possible to add another repeat and have three layers of repeating Clauses.

Common Mistake: Circular Logic

If the trigger to repeat a Clause is a Text Input within that Clause, a Circular Logic is formed, and the Repeat will not operate correctly. This principle applies both to Repeats and Conditions.
